To properly cover a tattoo, first you want to identify if you need to use a color corrector prior to makeup application. If the tattoo is new (within 2 years) then you may need to use a corrector to tone down the color. If there is a lot of solid black ink, you will want to use an orange or red corrector to neutralize. If the tattoo is faded, there is no need to color correct. Next, you will want to select a foundation. For larger tattoos, choose a liquid foundation like Leg and Body Makeup. Apply using a body blending sponge and apply generously in a tapping/stippling motion. This will deposit more pigment over the tattoo. If the tattoo is smaller than 6 inches, you can use a body concealer like Quick-Fix Body. Simply swipe on the skin and blend the edges until you get the coverage you desire. Finally, finish by applying a loose setting powder to keep the foundation from smudging or transferring to your clothes. Try Dermablend's Loose Setting Powder for up to 16 hour wear.
